Middle school is one of the most overlooked transitional times for students. High school and college are notorious for being the age where you “discover” yourself-but junior high is where the foundations of a student’s life really start to get tested. This is the time when most students will first have their faith challenged, and when they’ll first start to wrestle with the questions “Who am I?” and, more importantly, “Who do I want to be?” Not light stuff.
Want to Volunteer?
Middle school students give us energy and insight. They challenge us to be fresh in our own faith so that we can encourage them in theirs as they discover their role in God’s story. Our leaders are those who love middle school kids and have a desire to help them grow in their faith. Every volunteer must submit to a background check, participate in abuse awareness training and other applicable training, and adhere to all HCN NextGen policies and procedures. If you’d like to apply to be a volunteer with this age group, you may submit an application by clicking here.
